Hello everyone, I purchased a 2015 Equinox LT 3.6 FWD back in December at 108k miles. It's a little over 111k miles now and I am noticing what sounds like a transmission whine. It is noticeable from 1st to 3rd mainly but only when the windows are down can I truly hear it. No hard shifts or anything bad, it shifts as smooth as butter for all I can tell. I don't know how normal whine in these 6T70 transmissions are, as some make/models are normal to whine to an extent. The carfax for it says the fluids and cooler lines were replaced back at 77k miles ago so the fluids are definitely in the timeline window for change again, but I can't tell if the fluids currently are low, dirty, or contaminated. I can't find my Torque OBD to check the temperature but I drove it around town for a good while today so it should've gotten nice and warm. The roads have some hills and plenty of stop/go traffic.

When I checked the fluid it had a faint pinkish/light tan color but it's so hard to tell on the dipstick because it's such a light color. Because of that I couldn't accurately tell if it was low or not. I don't think it could be contaminated since the cooler lines were serviced not long ago, so hopefully that isn't the case. I'll try and get an image of the fluids in some better light later on with more time to drive when the fluids are definitely at the 200 mark or close to. I plan to have a drain/fill done on it in the upcoming weeks when my mechanic is back from his trip.

If anyone is willing to get a good picture of their fluid level/color on a dipstick for reference I'd greatly appreciate it and any feedback on if any whine from these are normal or not. :)
