Hi all! I just passed the break-in period for my 2025 Equinox Activ. Does anyone know where the oil filter is located? If it’s accessible from the top, that’d be great. I saw a video showing this for a previous Equinox generation, but not sure about the layout for the 2025.

It is a spin on type filter located underneath the engine.

On the LYX and LSD versions of the 1.5T, the oil filter is mounted open side up and easily accessible from underneath, unless GM added plastic under-cladding on the 2025. It's all wide open on my 2021. I can do an oil change on my 2021 w/out ramps or lifting the vehicle, but I usually run it up on my plastic Rhino ramps for a better look and access underneath.
