We have a 2010 Equinox 2.4 L 

It is making a loud clicking noise when accelerating. Now it's now idling righ and dies when coming to a stop. Check engine light is on but haven't had it read yet. We have to go the next town to get it read. There isn't anyone her in town that does that.
