I'm in my early 70's and the current owner of a 25 Equinox RS. I went from a Pontiac Torrent to a 2018 Equinox Premier with every option in the spring of 2019. I live in the midwest and have family in LA and made 12 trips there over the past years putting 122,000 absolutly care-free miles on the car. I just did all of the recommended maintainance and had zero issues with an average of 32.5 miles per gallon. The miles added up so I traded. I probably would have kept the 2018 and driven it to 200,000 if I were a younger man. I have driven 6 vehicles over 200,000 miles. Here are some thoughts after one month and 1000 miles of ownership with the 2025: The tech is a MAJOR upgrade and the fact that they throw in 8 years of On-Star Basic as well as all safety features is very positive on the part of GM. The ride is a little softer and the bumps are absorbed much better on the 2025 than the 2018. There is no Bose radio option. After getting used to Bose - the radio in this is a bit of a downgrade. Evotex - no matter what you call it - is not leather. It's an upgraded plastic. That being said - I like the feel of Evotex and it is supposed to require less care than leather. Of course, these are all subjective opinons on my part. I look forward to hearing what other owners think of their 2025 Equinox.
