New to Equinox

Hi everyone. I made a spontaneous choice and I'm sort of regretting it. I traded in my 2013 Cruze as it was starting to have problems for a 2017 equinox. What did I do??? The Equinox is way bigger and definitely has more pick up and go. I got swindled into the warranty package and the key replacement and thinking I might just cancel them. Did anyone use theirs? Also, this is my first black car and I found the spray wax left smudges, any tips for washing a black car and keeping it shiny?
