I understand there is a mod section, but it is broken into several different topics and does not have a "General modding" area like this general discussion area.

I am having a 2019 2.0 AWD premium delivered and would like to start adding some items to my wish list.

1. What suggestions do you have?

2. I do prefer the blackout look and am not a fan of chrome. Do you have any suggestions for aftermarket headlamps/fog light/tail lights? I assume I'll have to get some vinyl for the chrome trim at the grille, door trim, roof rail, and bumper trim.

3. Is there a larger gas tank available?

4. I hear this gen has an issue with blowing head gaskets and oil consumption, and that the community uses s vented oil cap to relieve pressure? I also hear that the intercooler has a condensation problem in the winter. How do you get around that?

Thanks

I didn't know of any head gasket issues with the 1.5 or the 2.0l engines

Plus never heard of a larger gas tank option. Except for the obvious of longer range, why would you want this ?

My 2.0 will get 500+ miles per tank if I drive it right. The other issues you mention are 2.4 issues that the 2.0 doesn't have. Change your oil a few times a year, regardless of miles, and you will likely be happy with your purchase.

My brother in-law is a mechanic and he said that and turbo issues for the 3rd gen are his most common big dollar problems with it.

Bigger gas tank - yeah, longer range and thus less fill ups. I understand I'd be spending the same amount per year on fuel, but less stops feels like a luxury feature in itself.

I follow The Car Care Nut on yt, and he suggests that anything with a Turbo/supercharger have 3k mile oil changes regardless of user manual/oil life specifications.

I did the same for my Hemi (RIP) to help prevent common lifter damage issues, so this won't be a problem for me to maintain. It should save me some $$ as well going from a 7 quart fill to a 5 quart lol.
