Yes, your car monitors light bulbs so it can report if one is out to you. I had put some brighter LEDs in my 2013 Nox with no issues, they were Canbus type (built in resistor). 2013 should be very similar to 2016. On my 2022 I have HD Surround cameras and somehow when I put the car in reverse the display is so bright I am thinking a brighter bulb would wash it out. While my backup lights do not seem super bright, the camera technology brightens things immensely.</blockquote>
