Message: <blockquote data-quote="TwoEquinoxDad" data-source="post: 25257" data-attributes="member: 7081"><p>Update - I installed a new vacuum pump but found another oil leak.  After removing the front splash guard, it became obvious that oil is leaking from the crankshaft at the serpentine belt end of the motor.   I need to look at it some more.  The last time I did a crankshaft seal was on a Pontiac 400 V8.  Removal of the water pump, timing chain cover, and harmonic balancer was necessary.  The 1.5L is way different.  Has anyone experienced this problem?  Could the leak be caused by excessive crankcase pressure?</p></blockquote><p></p>
