My 2019 equinox came with fm radio presets that I could change. It’s an LS model so it didn’t come with xm. I bought a Vais xm, designed for the 3rd gen equinox. It operates via the usb port and the infotainment system recognized it as if it came with the car. My problem is that I go thru the motions of saving various xm stations as “favorites” and it makes it look like it saved them. But when I touch the preset square to go to a channel I just set, it says “favorite not available”. I’ve read in various places that a reset to factory might solve this but for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to send the system back to factory settings. I’ve held down buttons, disconnected the battery, etc., but the radio happily turns on as if nothing happened. It actually does save the favorites, the button behind the steering wheel will sequentially go through the xm channels I set. The problem is that the screen won’t let me just tap a button to jump between channels Can anybody tell me the true way to reset the infotainment system, or how to get my presets to stick?
