I found me a 1998 Oldsmobile Aurora V8 4.0 with 70k miles. The guy that I bought it from was using a local used car lot to see it to him. This made it a little harder to negotiate. They were asking $4800 for the car of which I had a little chuckle about and I finally got them to agree to $3200 cash yesterday. So last night I went and picked it up.

I don't really like cars but I have a 50 mile a day commute back and forth to work so this will make it worth while to me. I drove 50 miles on 2 gallons of gas of which I was well pleases... My dad had one of these cars and he said that there had been times when he would drive it to Buffalo from Cleveland that he would get closer to 30.. I think with my style of driving I will be happy to be in the 20-25 range....

That's about all the pictures I have right now. The car has some really nice features with a cock pit feel with all the controls facing the pilot...

I plan to remove the darn pin strip and have the back window tinted. I will do the rest. Remote start will be soon and possibly a Nav/Bluetooth HU.

Things I need to fix...

Power Antenna
Gas Shocks on trunk lid

I will get more pictures possibly this weekend. I think it needs new wheels too.

Wow, you got a steal!!! That car is in really good condition for the price. I use to have a long commute as well and my Silverado was not the best vehicle for it. You will save alot of gas with that Olds. Good job!!!

haha. Somehow the wife managed to get an extension chord rapped around part of the driver side front wheel on the inside... I had the day off today so she left it in the driveway and took my car...

I will preface by saying that the took the extension chord off the wall and left it on the floor to run over...

What I had in mind was using padded double sided adhesive but I couldn't find it fast enough so I resorted to glue...
