I have a 2012 EQUINOX LTZ 2.4 Starting a few weeks ago, randomly when starting the vehicle, everything lights up just fine in the on position but when I turn the key all the way to start; nothing. Just nothing. I will sit and turn the key over a dozen times, and then out of nowhere it starts fine and runs fine. It may start fine the next ten times, then out of nowhere it will do nothing when tying up start it. I have put a new starter, new relays, new coils, and new plugs in it. Someone told me a faulty temp sensor could cause intermittent starting so I changed it. With each new thing it does fine a couple days and then I go out to start it and it does nothing. Have to sit there and turn it on over and over and over until it finally starts. I know absolutely nothing about electrical issues or computer issues. So, technical advice on checking electrical connections and so forth is foreign to me. Also, I stopped today at an auto shop and they told me they could do nothing I haven’t already done and they couldn’t help me. They actually said a dealership probably wouldn’t fool with it either. That was encouraging lol. Car has low mileage, 76k, and otherwise runs perfect. Anyone have any idea at all what the issue could be? I am a minister and have to do a lot of funerals and weddings and so forth, and I can’t be leading a funeral and suddenly have to sit with a giant line of cards ready to head to a grave sight while I’m sitting there turning the key over and over and over for ten minutes. Desperately need this issues resolved.
