I wanted to provide another formal update on this issue, I completely forgot to mention this, but I actually work for GM, I am a salaried employee working in the IT space.  I had posted about my software issue on a intranet site/forum about this and I have been contacted by a member of the Android Auto/Apple Carplay team and I gave them the build number of the software in my car, they are going to be updating me on the fix and will let me know when it gets applied to the next OTA, will be sure to keep you guys in the loop as well!  [USER=8913]@Jeff D.[/USER]  FYI
