2012 Chevy Equinox Oil Issue

Hi Everyone,
I have an oil leak that I am assuming came from a gasket or ring malfunction. There is a crack on the valve cover and oil started pouring out of the engine. Any ideas? Worth repairing? I am looking to go EV in the near future.

The timing chain is loose. There was a guide that was preventing the timing chain from doing what it’s doing. Clearly that was eaten up and now it’s eating up the valve cover. That rattle has been going on for a long time.
