[QUOTE="TheDarkKnightKnox, post: 11075, member: 509"] 1. If i was unable to get the radio to shut off i would of A. Turned of Ignition and opended the driver side door, since conveniece power stays on for 10 minutes unless door is opened. B. Attempted to locate the fuze, the fuze puller is usually part of fuze panel door. C. Disconnected the Battery. I would of called my local dealer and or GM Customer Service 2. I have not had the same issue, my HVAC feedback on the LCD has froze the manual controls still worked. Step A above solved my issues. 3. I would be upset but understanding that anything dealing with technology and computers could have bug/ issues. based on a post by Dietz a while back there was a recall for the computer controlling the Radio. He may want to shoot a link to it but i can't figure it out therefore See the following. First Recall for my Equinox... Computer Module *Updated 7/2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Got a letter the other day for a recall... Has something to do with the software that controls the heating, air conditioning, defrost, and radio controls as well as the panels illumination to become inoperative. What GM wants to do with these models is switch out the computer module that controls all this... Install time is around 20 minutes but your dealer may require more time for your vehicle to be in and a shuttle service or curtesy vehicle will be provided if you are in "New Vehicle Limited Warranty" I will keep you updated on this one..
