Low Oil and Oil Spots on Garage Floor

Update - I installed a new vacuum pump but found another oil leak. After removing the front splash guard, it became obvious that oil is leaking from the crankshaft at the serpentine belt end of the motor. I need to look at it some more. The last time I did a crankshaft seal was on a Pontiac...

    Transmission oil change

Within YouTube search for "Don Smith Equinox". He fully illustrates a DIY method for flushing Equinox transmissions. He states at one point that it may take between 3 to 3.5 gallons of new fluid to flush out most of the old black stuff.

2023 Equinox front end knocking on bumps

If the knocking sound is coming from just one side, it may be a strut. Push the strut's accordion style cover upward to see if the rubber (not sure what it's called) isolator has fallen down. Check both sides.

Is FC219 Oil Filler Cap Applicable For 2018+ Equinox ?

Like the heading says, is the vented oil filler cap of any benefit for a 2018+ Equinox? Will it even fit the 1.5L turbo? Or does the factory installed cap already perform the crankcase vent function? Daughters have a 2019 and a 2022.
