On the previous generation the rear bumper would actually get cut and a trim piece would be installed. The part would replace the actual metal bumper underneath the cover.
Hi I just came across your post in the weekly email. I have a 2019 equinox (I know you have a 2025 and there is a model change) and I installed an aftermarket hitch receiver. If I can give you any advise it is to go with the oem one if it mounts up higher than an aftermarket using the frame...
I have 1.5 and I agree it isn’t the fastest. I had a 2023 Rogue as a rental car and I really liked it. Bigger interior, comfortable, faster with a 3 cylinder and amazing on gas. I went from NY to NC on a single tank doing 80-85mph average at 35 mpg (front wheel drive model). Only issue is the CVT….
Yeah we are currently on our 4th. We had a 2013, 2016, I drive the 2019 and the wife has a 2022 that has less than a year left on the lease. Don’t think we will buy that one out this time and hopefully by then I can afford to get 2 new cars.
I just took mine out to wash it. You have to fold the flat top part under the trim piece. It takes a bit to work it under but it went in without issue.
Every time you get in the car, you have to put it manual and press it up to the top gear. Then if you need to reverse you have to go up 3 gears to reverse instead of the standard 2 and then back down the 3 gears and press the button up to the top gear. It’s annoying to say the least esp. if you...
Until you go to put the car in Reverse and hit the gas and just rev the engine in neutral bc you are an extra gear down.
Also 2011-2017 didn’t have an auto start stop feature. It started with the 2018 model year. But the first few model years didn’t have the button to disable.
If you don’t...
I have seen a bunch of those dongles online. Never know which ones are good or not. I have 2 issues with the wireless CarPlay. First off is when changing a song there is about a 2-3 second delay from when you press the button and it actually changes the song. Secondly, when my wife first got her...
I’d like to make a suggestion. I installed a hitch on my 2019 LT and it does the job but I’d recommend getting the factory GM one. The rear bumper has to come off and be cut to allow the hitch to fit but it’s much higher off the ground. While I haven’t towed anything with it I am currently using...
Yes I have the manual on my phone. I did not know it would stay on when the car restarted if the vehicle already had it engaged. Shows how much I use AWD Lol
So maybe someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the equinox is always in FWD and you have to manually press the AWD button to turn it on. That’s how my 2019 and my 2022 are at least.
Just out of curiosity, did you happen to reset the mpg screen? I’m wondering if the previous owner never reset it and it’s showing it for the entire 34k mileage.
Yes it works exceptionally well. It’s down low, out of the way for both me and passenger. In the 2019 there is no wireless CarPlay so I have it plugged so I don’t need the MagSafe charger. The 2022 has wireless CarPlay but the wife was having too many issues with it I told her to just keep it...
