On mine it only works when the usb cable is plugged in and after first connection it automatically starts. On older versions I find had wireless connection which was abandoned.

curious, what was the cold weather temp at the time of failure. Warranties should cover bumper to bumper. When there are exclusions (they know what is likely to fail) then all you are doing is padding the purchase price. JMO why I do not buy warranties on top of original included.

Is there a reason to not have a drain out of the wheel well? Does the drain hose end inside the wheel well or is the water ending there in another manner?

ummm, you said back brakes are badly worn and you are getting messages about it. Acceleration issue. Sounds like parking brake is not disengaging. Why not get that done asap before looking for other issues?

I will guess probably as I think the disengage is at the front. But if you have a smart phone turn on video and place it ibetween tires drive over top of it.
