well I went ahead and changed the battery on a remote that was not showing any other problems. Able to lock/unlock from 50 feet, able to start car, to roll down windows.
The mirror on the passenger side previoulsy being erractic is now firmly fixed to the memorised position. CHANGE THE BATTERY...
@Don Cherry
post again in a week or so. I get 3-4 days routinely with no incident and then every startup have to reposition passenger mirror. I will test the key fob and swap with my wife as a test. As far as it should be the ket fob determines driver positions for seat and mirrors. This...
You are suspecting tach increase is due to clutch slippage? But if it runs rough and dies that should be something else. My WAG is this is electrical, a loose connection in the ignition circuit. The transmission flush is good in any event as an eliminator and probably needed at 200,000.
sorry for your trouble but also glad I am not alone.
Today mirror went all the up, then after a restart all the way down. whenever I reset to desired position and memorise, it seems the memory thinks it is elsewhere and not where it actually is so it goes there next time. Work in progress, in...
so no one else reading this has seen this occurrence. 2 of 3 times starting the car, either the well set mirror goes up or down as far as possible and also in or out. I reposition and all good until I end the trip, turn off engine. The next start it is the same as I said 2of3 times approx.
Not sure if the dealer can see with instruments if it would work without cruise on. BTW, it also has pedestrian stop? But so far I have allowed the seat buzz to tell me to stomp on the brake.
If you have cruise control on it will stop gradually increasing braking. each time I my foot over the brake pedal at the ready. 100% stops at safe distance.
But if cruise is not on I have panic stopped soon after the seat buzzes when no braking has started. Have not waited to find out if it has...
20K, wow! Does that come with new tires, 🙃
If I had this bad luck I would start by removing the headliner (as carefully as you want) and expose the operator for the sunroof. I would check for power to the motors wiht volt meter to determine what/where the non operation is.
In previous posts on...
Actually, my issue has gotten worse. With just myself and one fob in car the passenger mirror is moving down or up and even in/out randomly. Keep memorizing position, turned down in reverse, shut off exit memory. Nothing yet has stopped this random and not always same actions.
Old post revived. My passenger mirror has started to do the same with the odd time going skyward. Have turned off drop for reverse. Keep redoing the memorize for position, no joy.
Did the car happen to come with a bra. I ask as the grill looks good. If a bra was used in cold climate where salt spray gets on it, may explain what looks like corrosion repaired. JMO
I agree at least get a quote to repair properly and then decide as is or fixed right trade.
