My 2008 Nox has 120k+ on it and runs like a new one. I flush antifreeze every 4-5 yrs. I believe this helps with the head gasket problem. Am thinking of getting a Blazer with the 3.6 but have been reading about problems with them. I guess every car has its quirks!

Have a 2008 Nox and my remote will not work for the locks. Will only work with buttons inside. Wonder if I have same problem.

The 2.4 has had a bad history of timing chain failure. I want to stay away from them.

Thanks for the advice. I thought the 3.6 was just a punched out 3.4. Don't want a turbo or a 3 or 4 cyl. Very limited vehicles with 6 cyl.

I've got a 2008 3.4 with 121k on it. Best vehicle I ever owned. Change oil according to oil life monitor ( at 10%) and flush anti-freeze every 4-5 years. Runs like a top' Am thinking of getting new or used Blazer but leery about 3.6. Mine is getting pretty rusty underneath.

After bleeding don't tighten too tight. It is a brass fitting and snaps off real easily. Don't ask me how I know!

I have a 2008 Nox and years ago I had the same problem. I discovered that the plastic door step plates were pitched inward. I removed the plates and put spacers underneath to make them slope outward. Worked for me.

I also maintain my vehicles. Stealerships are too expensive and sometimes you don't get what you should.

I always change the tensioner when changing belt.

Years ago I tried installing an aftermarket remote start on a blazer. After splicing into a bunch of different wires according to directions it did not work. A friend of mine who had several repair shops said 90% of electrical problems are caused by eirther aftermarket alarms or remote...

locks on passenger side stopped working with remote and drivers door switch. Also sometimes remote won't open any doors. Any suggestions?

Just replaced headlights in my 2008 LS Nox. There is no adjustment for the headlights I parked in front of garage door and one headlight was shining about 2' higher than the other . I elongated the mouunting holes but there is still a 6" difference. Are there any specs for aiming the lights? TIA

I do believe they make a battery cable end that can be switched off and on. Much easier than disconnecting cable each time.

if you don't have torx a hex wrench will do.

Have a mechanic determine that. Have a 2008 LS and when getting new tires mechanic noticed i needed lower ball joint. He wanted to replace lower control arm to the tune of $460 !! Went to NAPA, got ball joint,drilled out old one, bolted in new one for $35 . Drives straight as an arrow!

On my 2008 3.4 V6 my EGR pipe cracked and I replaced the pipe only. Got the part from Rock Auto.
