any shop can look at it. Getting it there is next step. Autozone has free loaner program where you could use a fuel pressure gauge. Depends on what you want to do next
3.4 is pushrod motor. They don’t die from timing belt issues. Running out of gas and no start may not be coincidence. As to fuel...
I drive local <50mph and no tpms light. Wife drove on hwy @60mph+ and she got light. I drove several days later and light is off. I did not try to do a tpms relearn. Maybe I should try and see if system recognizes sensors?
I like these wheels and might try them. Always seems to improve my sale efforts. Then I have to take them off car for new buyer. My current tires are 4% larger than stock and these are 3% smaller. As an aside.
I had new plug in hand and put it into socket. And walked out in driveway and socket would not fit on plug in motor? WTH? Went to tool box and grabbed 17mm socket but it was too loose. I think I might have set down 16mm and grabbed 15mm but I don’t recall.
I’ve done a number of headgasket jobs on equinox’s and always have heatercore issues so I monitor cooling temps as part of job.
My last one would run at 190f with a 195 thermostat. It had a “weak” spring. You should replace your thermostat to start.
I do know the fans seem to turn on around...
I do see I have a plastic coupler drive insert that lessens harshness. Seen videos showing they may deteriorate over time. I will inspect mine.
BUT, I have rattle when car is off. So elec motor has no power. So motor should not be providing boost. I assume when I turn wheel the shaft is then...
The u-joint failed and you have to remove u-joint to then remove carrier bearing. Bit of a pain. I’ve heard you can replace the staked u-joint if ur talented. Bit of work.
Took my u-joint apart. There were no needle bearings in right side cup. Shaft was a bit rusty too. The left side has heavy gouges but the bearings were there. Cause of my vibration I reckon.
I replaced driveshaft. This one is scrap.
Took out driveshaft and my vibration went away. Center bearing is fine. Seems tight. Found a used drive shaft at junkyard for $25. Might as well try it. Has return policy so it’s only my time. Seems to drive ok now.
Always had a center console vibration. But no shake/shimmy on road. Few months...
