hmm, imagine that? lower transmission. seems the online videos say nothing about lowering the transmission.

The 05-06 mount is flat. The 07-09 is less flat. The 2010+ newer style mount is also flat. seems odd. the 05-06 has same trans as the 07-09 but use different mounts.

Lowered subframe maybe 1”. Bit more. And it came out. if you cant unbolt subframe due to rusty bolts you can unbolt the front trans mount to allow trans to drop just enough onto subframe.

Chasing mystery (not obvious) knock. I get a driver wheel well rattle/clunking/knocking sound on washboard roads. Small bumps in road does not seem to cause noise. I changed driver strut assy and it made zero difference. Sway bar links are good. Bushings are good. Ball joint is good. A-arm...

Chasing rattle sound. I found upper trans mount which is under battery tray. Maybe that is culprit? I do hear click/clunk when I crank motor. Thought maybe starter had issues? Is motor rocking when I crank it?

Did heads. Runs ok. Had 180f thermo. Put in 195f. Seems to stay at 196f on highway. I know fans run when you use ac so I’ve been driving it with ac on/off. Took awhile/several days to finally get air out of system. The bypass above WP has a lot of coolant stains. I never removed bypass to peek...

Found an 09 w/130k miles. Seller wants $2k. I offered 800 and he said 900 and it’s mine. Quite a price drop.

Thermostat is 180f. Should be 195f. Previous owner was chasing overheating issue.

Easy. Have a garage look at. Bent strut? Bent control arm? Maybe bent tie rod too. Parts are cheap. Labor is high.

got new tray. Sound is 10% less from battery moving? Must be something else. Least battery is secure.

previous owner put in bigger battery and cut out the ribs to hold edge of battery. And had no clamp so battery was just bouncing around. Time for new battery box and proper battery size. And he cut out tabs on battery box top so it could not connect to lower box. Pcm tray was just bouncing around.

This is new car. The pics are from old car. That is gone. Have not pulled heads on new car yet

Got another one. 08/13 Has coolant stains near vent bypass and manifold outlet on driver side. Haven’t seen stains at both locations on any car before. Level in surge tank goes up quite a bit when hot. Has all signs of overpressurization in cooling system.

I got the 08 torrent. $600. Has a 24rext battery. 1.5” too tall. No battery hold down. No wonder front end clunks on bumps Sold wheels for 400. Put on my chrome wheels I got for $66. Replaced battery tray. Got a group 47 battery Probably will do head gaskets.

Got another car. Has splined lugnuts. Went to discount tire and tech gave me socket. So I put the chrome 5 spokes on car and am selling the lace wheels. They have 73mm bores and no centering rings. The 5 spoke are oem and do have 70mm bores.

Did you change any part of the wire harness? I did have a bad resistor yrs ago where the fan would not work at #3. But my fan seems fine at #3 but no ac.
