Glad you got the drains working. Open the front doors and clean out leaves etc at the bottom, it might be diverting the water inside. Use toilet paper to detect where the water is coming from; lay it gently anywhere there might be a source.

Off is irrelevant. Automatics should be left in Park. Standard transmission vehicles should be left in the lowest gear, usually low or reverse. IIRC the Equinox for 2019 warns you if you fail to leave in park. Better for any incline to take the pressure off transmission and use parking brake.

Have you checked the connection of the air filter system for misconnection? Filter too dirty etc. Also, does it "resonate" at 3,000 RPM in all gears. Could be exhaust system loose somewhere underneath.
