This maybe wishful thinking. It would be nice to be able to use the front camera as a dash camera. Save the video to USB storage device.

I like that idea - right now I'm using a Vifo cam that attaches to the windshield. Your idea sounds great.

I often thought that the HD surround should have that capability. I can change my view to front, back, sides (while parked, if moving it only displays a few seconds) and it would super useful to have it record in some capacity.

All camera recording would great. Especially in the event of an accident. I'm sure some software eng. would love to be challenged with that task.
